Idea of this design came from a story that I heard from Kurume Kasuri craft people in my quotidien. For exemple my friend Miharu san who has been working over 50 years in several Kasuri manufactures in the town. She told me: “ Before, we could see often children playing around in the factory. I took my babied at work so that the sounds of shuttle loom was almost like a lullaby, they woke up when the loom stopped.”
So I wanted Asanoha motif* as starting pattern to develop and bring this story in it adding some geometric lines using tsumami-somé technique.

*Asanoha-leaf of hemp pattern is a Japanese traditional pattern which wishes children’s healthy growth.
